FLOODING is continuing to cause problems across Cumbria due to the high winds and high tides experienced at lunchtime.
Vehicles are becoming stuck in flood water while people have been spotted at piers and harbours in the area, despite warnings that have been issued by Cumbria Police and the Environment Agency.
"This is very dangerous and people are putting themselves and emergency services at risk by being in these areas," said a Cumbria Police spokeswoman.
Now police say the following areas across the south of the county have been affected:
* Canal Foot in Ulverston, which is flooded
* Coastal road at Roosebeck, Ulverston, which is flooded
* The main road between Arnside and Milnthorpe, which is flooding
* Grange railway underpass, which is flooded. People are urged not to cross the railway line
