A WOMAN had to be cut free from her car last night after a two-vehicle crash on the A590.
Fire crews from Kendal and Milnthorpe used holmatro cutting gear to release the woman, whose car hit the central reservation at the top of Lindale Hill.
No further information has been released on her condition.
Those in the other car had managed to get themselves out of their vehicle before crews arrived, and suffered no injuries.
Station manager Steve Sharrock described the incident, which happened at around 6pm, as 'reasonably serious'.
He said: "Obviously we do not know what happened as that is down to the police to find out."
"It was raining quite heavily at the time - it was not very good conditions," he added.
