THE owners of lifestyle store Armstrong Ward in Kendal have found a new home for a giant-sized Robin, the talking point of their Christmas display.

Jacqueline and Andrew Ward’s search for a local organisation who could use Rory to fundraise for them ended with an appeal from Burneside Brass Band.

The band will auction the three-foot-high bird later in the year at a black tie fundraising event with Windermere Rotary Club.

Funds raised will go towards the cost of a new band room.
