LAKELAND Businesswomen’s Network, founded in 2006, has secured £6,000 funding through the Cumbria Rural Women’s Growth Network to expand the group and help deliver new training and development opportunities to its members.
Debra Jessett and Gail Knopfel of A Positive Partnership prepared the tender on behalf of LBN. The cash will be used to grow LBN sustainably over the next 18 months by recruiting new members and extending the network’s reach through supported activities and events.
The project will be managed by Debra and Gail, working in collaboration with the committee and network members to develop new ideas that will positively impact businesswomen in the Lakeland area into 2015 and beyond.
