CUMBRIA police are appealing for information after a man used a metal bar to threaten Furness residents during what police describe as 'an affray'.

The man, said to be in his late forties, made the threats in Craven Park Court, Barrow, at around 5.45pm yesterday. He also smashed a wing mirror of a car parked nearby.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact Barrow Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
