AN air ambulance was scrambled after a man fell from a roof in the north of the county.
The 44-year-old, from Gretna, was rushed to hospital by an Eden-based air ambulance following the incident in Brampton at 8.50am this morning.
A spokesman for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) described the incident as ‘industrial’.
Paramedics from GNAAS, who assisted the North West Ambulance Service, rushed the man to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, with ‘serious’ and 'severe' back, leg and pelvis injuries.
From the scene to the hospital took 18 minutes - and the man was ‘stable’ upon arrival.
