PENTRITH Tourist Information Centre (TIC) on Middlegate will be closed from 2pm on Saturday, March 1, until 10am on Tuesday, March 4, for an interior make over.
The redecoration of the TIC also means that Penrith and Eden Museum will also be closed during this period as they share the same building.
The interior enhancements form part of Eden District Council’s current review of the service and officials say it is hoped the new look will enhance the enjoyment of the thousands of visitors and local people who use the centre every year.
The authority also says it wants to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused. The dates were chosen to minimise disruption to the public, the TIC and Museum are already closed to the public on Sundays over the winter months.
Both the TIC and Penrith and Eden Museum will re-open as normal on Tuesday, March 4, at 10am. Further information on other TICs open in the Eden area can be found at www.visiteden.co.uk
