A WOMAN is urging witnesses to some forward after criminals vandalised four vehicles outside her home, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Cumbria Police say that overnightt on February 21/22 offenders broke into Linda Richardson’s yard at Station Road, Holme, and threw green corrosive liquid over her car and her husband’s company van.

At around 10.30pm her vehicle was targeted again – the front tyres were punctured and every panel on the car had been scratched.

The tyres were also punctured on her husband and son’s vehicles.

The incidents have caused £6,000 worth of damage and left the family shaken.

“We’re really angry about it,” said Linda, who is even considering installing CCTV at ther property.

“I’m not the type that gets scared easily but all sorts of things go through your head - they must have had a sharp implement so what if they’d hurt one of us?”

Linda is appealing for witnesses to come forward, saying “We live in a small community and there will have been people out, walking dogs or at the local pub.”
