A GROUP of children from Shap Endowed C of E Primary School have been to a Haweswater farm to look at baby lambs being raised.

The pupils from years five and six went to Swindale Farm to meet newborn lambs and learn how to look after them.

This spring hundreds of lambs were born at Swindale and neighbouring Naddle Farm, which are farmed by Richard and Tracey Postlethwaite for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.

The children also explored the farm’s meadow in a trip organised by the RSPB.
