A MAN in his 60s has been taken to hospital after collapsing in the Lake District this afternoon (Wednesday).
The 63-year-old from Durham fell ill near Alcock Tarn in Grasmere at about 2.30pm.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called to assist paramedics and Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team.
The man was treated at the scene and taken to hospital in an ambulance.
His injuries were described as non life-threatening.
