A KENDAL cyclist has been flown to a major trauma centre after he was involved in a collision with a car.
The 34-year-old male was taken to Royal Preston Hospital by the Great North Air Ambulance after the incident on Kirkstone Pass at around 1.35pm today.
He is said to have severe head, arm and chest injuries but was described as stable on arrival at hospital.
Kirkstone Pass reaches altitudes of 1,489 feet and connects Ambleside with Patterdale.
