A MAN was left with serious facial injuries after he was hit in the face with a skateboard in Kendal, say police.

The member of public was walking on Finkle Street on Wednesday (August 6) afternoon when a skateboarder jumped off his board causing it to flip into the air and thump the man’s face.

Police have issued a warning to remind people it is inappropriate to skateboard in the town centre.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cumbria Polcie on 101 and ask for PC Kate Sutton or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
