A NINE-year-old boy suffered facial injuries after being attacked by a dog in Kendal.
The youngster was playing in a small field between Broad Ing Crescent and Jenkin Rise at around 4pm on Thursday (August 19) when the dog went for him.
Cumbria Police, who are appealing for witnesses, described the animal as a brown medium-sized, short-haired dog with possibly a white mark on its tail.
A force spokesman said: "The boy needed hospital treatment for his facial injury but is now making a full recovery."
