Almost £2,000 was raised at Dent Gala on Monday after a crowd turned out for some traditional family fun.
The event was hailed a success despite fewer people turning out after being deterred by the bad weather.
“Those that came had a fantastic time,” said chair of the organising committee, Sarah Woof.
The annual event, first held in the 1960s, hosted a dog show – including ‘waggiest tail’ contest – children’s a fancy dress parade, coconut shy, pillow fights and barbecue. Proceeds from the day go to renovations at the Memorial Hall.
