A MAJOR search of the Lake District has been called off after two missing walkers were found safe and well.
The two men, believed to be from Merseyside, called police at 9.30pm last night (Thursday) to say they were lost on Crinkle Crag, Great Langdale.
Mountain Rescue Teams from Wasdale, Langdale and Ambleside, Kendal, Keswick and Duddon conducted a major search for the two men throughout the night and continuing this morning.
