A 14 year old destroyed the competition at an open water swimming event.
Tom Robinson from Ulverston won the Chillswim Windermere Cross Lake Swim in a time of 15 minutes and 34 seconds - more than two minutes ahead of his nearest rival.
Amazingly, when he got into the water shortly after 8am on Saturday, September 27, to take on the 1.2km race, it was Tom's first experience of swimming in open water.
The Ulverston Otters swimmer already represents Cumbria and he has trials for the England national team next week.
He said: "It's great to win and I'm really happy. It was exciting. I'd like to swim out her a lot more because you get a lot of freedom."
Event organiser, Colin Hill, 44, said: "Tom's a fantastic swimmer. He's breaking some Cumbrian records already so he's got a good chance of making the England team."
