A 47-YEAR-OLD Thornton-in-Lonsdale man was over the drink-drive limit after the funeral of a friend, Skipton magistrates heard.
Police, acting on information, stopped Alan Hodkinson in his Vauxhall Vivaro van as he drove along Back Gate, Ingleton, on September 1, the court was told.

A roadside breath test was positive and he was taken to the police station where he was found to have 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Hodkinson, who admitted drink-driving, said he had been on his way home following the funeral of a friend.
He was banned from driving for 15 months and fined £150 with costs of £85 and a victims surcharge of £20. If he completes a drink drivers rehabilitation course by July next year, his ban will be reduced by a quarter.
