Police hunt man who stole Land Rover and dumped it on roundabout
POLICE are searching for a car thief who stole a green Land Rover defender and dumped it on a roundabout.
The theft took place from a property in Patterdale between the hours of 8pm and 11:30pm yesterday, October 8.
The vehicle was recovered from the Skirsgill roundabout at Junction 40 of the M6 where a man, believed to be the thief, was spotted by the Highways Officers.
He is described as being white, between 30-35 years old, six foot tall, speaking with a North East accent and wearing a black tracksuit.
Police urge anybody with information to call 101 and speak to PC Carrick or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
