ROADWORKS on a busy Kendal road have been extended past the second expected finishing date because of 'really bad' ground conditions 'hard-to-dig' concrete and the diversion of an electricity cable.
The United Utilities project to replace two large sewer pipes under Appleby Road between Fowling Lane and Vine Street were due to finish earlier this month after an extension from early September. But work is now expected to finish around October 26.
