Congratulations to Chris Wilson who has become the first Cumbrian in a decade to be made a Prince’s Trust Young Ambassador. After being viciously attacked on holiday four years ago and spending over a year in hospital learning who he was, and how to walk, read and write again, Chris was introduced to the Prince’s Trust programme through the Cumbria acquired brain injury team. The programme helped Chris to rebuild his confidence, learn new skills and make new friends and also introduced him to the CandoFM radio station at Furness College where Chris is a regular presenter. Chris was nominated for the Ambassador role by his Prince’s Trust team leader, Anne Brockbank because Chris was a pleasure to teach and his determination, behaviour and enthusiasm is inspiring. We wish Chris well in his continued recovery and look forward to hearing more about his new Prince’s Trust Young Ambassador’s role in the near future.
