A SEASON of classic science fiction movies lifts off in Lancaster this weekend.
Sci-fi fans are in for a treat as The Dukes cinema takes part in the BFI's nationwide Days of Fear and Wonder screenings.
The season opens tomorrow (Friday, November 7) with The Terminator (15), a post-apocalyptic thriller starring Arnold Schwarzenegger that still has the power to chill 30 years after its first release.
The line-up also includes:
- Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (PG) - November 11
- 80s favourite Back To The Future (PG) - November 15
- Japanese animation Akira (15) - November 21
- Alien, starring Sigourney Weaver (18) - November 28
- British disaster movie The Day The Earth Caught Fire (PG) - December 2
- and Stanley Kubrick's classic 2001: A Space Odyssey (PG) on December 27.
