THE public is being given the opportunity to provide feedback on Cumbria County Council budget proposals.

In order to help meet the requirements of the Equality Act (2010), the authority has arranged a disability consultation event.

The public are being given the opportunity to provide feedback on 13 proposals during the consultation on the 2015-16 budget, to be taken to council in February 12015.

The disability consultation event will take place on Monday December 1 at Frenchfields Sports Centre, Carleton, Penrith, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm and is aimed solely at disability organisations and people who use services, with the aim of looking at the proposals from a disability perspective.

The session will be Chaired by Coun Patricia Bell, Deputy Leader of Cumbria County Council, and supported by Joel Rasbash, from the Council’s Policy Team, who leads on Equality.

All travel will be reimbursed by Cumbria County Council and they will do what they can to meet any access requirements to enable people to attend the event.
