SOUTH Lakes MP Tim Farron took to the aisles of a Kendal supermarket to highlight his campaign to boost jobs and apprenticeships in the area.
Mr Farron spent a few hours with Morrisons' staff in the fresh produce and refrigerated goods section to learn about their roles.
Morrisons is currently one of the largest providers of apprenticeships in the UK and is one of the biggest employers in Kendal.
The MP said: "I really enjoyed visiting the store and it was great to roll up my sleeves and get stuck in. It was fantastic to be part of the team for the day and I hope I didn't get in their way too much.
āIād like to thank the store manager Lee and his whole team for their kind hospitality and allowing me to get back to the floor.
"The visit showed me yet again the value of apprenticeships for our young people. I will keep doing all I can to bring more apprenticeships to our area."
