A BUNGALOW proposed in a Stainton garden would have an 'urbanising effect', ruled a Government planning inspector.
Applicant Guy Howell appealed against South Lakeland District Council's refusal of his plans to build a new dormer bungalow and garage on land next to Skettle Lea, an existing bungalow at Stainton.
Dismissing the appeal, the inspector stated that it would harm the 'rural, green, open and spacious' character and look of the area.
