FORMER MEP Chris Davies has been declared ‘Parliamentarian of the Year (MEP)’ for his work in achieving reform of the EU’s common fisheries policy.
The Liberal Democrat, who represented the North West of England from 1999 until May this year, was presented with the Green Ribbon award at a ceremony in the House of Commons by leading environmentalist Jonathon Porritt.
It was the second award that Davies has gained this year. In March his work secured him the title ‘MEP of the Year’ at a ceremony in Brussels.
