A FORMER FBI agent has been passing on expert tips to police officers in Lancashire this week.

William J. Bodziak, is one of the world’s leading experts on forensic footwear and an acclaimed author.

He wrote acclaimed textbooks about detecting footprints and tyre tracks as part of evidence gathering.

Danyela Kellett, of Lancashire Constabulary, said: “This is a real coup – normally Mr Bodziak runs courses in the United States and this is the first time he will be delivering a course in the UK.” The course this week was attended by footwear experts from 10 different police forces.

Mr Bodziak's cases have included the OJ Simpson criminal and civil trials and the Oklahoma bombings.
