A WINDERMERE man was fined by magistrates after pleading guilty to taking his step-dad's van without permission.
Sean Linnie, 33, of Broad Street, was also charged for driving without insurance or a licence.
South Lakeland Magistrates' Court heard his driving licence was revoked in 2008 as a result of ‘medical issues’.
Lisa Hine, prosecuting, said Linnie’s step-dad called the police after seeing that his Citroen Berlingo van was no longer where he had left it on Hazel Street, and the spare keys had gone.
Linnie pleaded guilty to the three offences and was fined a total of £490, including costs and surcharges.
