Man escapes uninjured after being trapped in overturned van after South Lakes crash
A MAN who had to be cut free from his overturned van got out uninjured after a crash near Kendal yesterday (January 28).
Police were called at 3.07pm to a crash between a blue Volkswagen Touran and a brown van which turned onto its side in the collision at Vicarage Lane, Ings.
The male driver of the van was trapped and firefighters released the man before handing him into the care of the paramedics.
He was checked over in an ambulance but no injuries were reported.
The driver of the car, a 60-year-old woman, was uninjured.
