EDEN residents can have their chance to steer the council by commenting on its plans.
The district council is inviting members of the public including businesses and parish councils to read and respond to its Draft Council Plan during a five week consultation.
Previously known as the Corporate Plan, the draft is the authority's main policy document and contains the priorities which directs every decision made.
The Draft Council Plan 2015 to 2019 is already the result of consultations including internal workshops at the council and a public event in Melmerby last year.
Councillor David Whipp, EDC's organisation and external relations portfolio holder, said: “Although what’s in the Draft Plan is the result of widespread consultation, we need to know if we’ve got it right.
"Have we addressed the most important issues for Eden and have we missed anything out?
"This is why we welcome feedback from as many people and organisations as possible.”
The consultation runs until March 20.
