CHARITABLE groups have until midday on Monday, March 9, to apply for Red Nose Day Community Cash 2015.
Up to £10,000 of Red Nose Day money is available to be given in grants of £500-£1,000 to small organisations in Cumbria working in areas of disadvantage or deprivation.
“It’s great that we are teaming up with Comic Relief to work on Red Nose Day Community Cash,” said Andy Beeforth, chief executive of Cumbria Community Foundation.
“Charitable groups that are doing great work to help local people living tough lives in our area are encouraged to apply.”
He added: “Local people who want to do their bit and make their faces funny for money to keep raising cash to help change lives should visit rednoseday.com”
Charitable groups can apply for a grant online at www.cumbriafoundation.org or call Annalee Holliday on 01900-825760 for more information.
The groups must have an income of less than £100,000; be run by local people; and have limited access to other sources of income.
Red Nose Day is on Friday, March 13.
