The build up to National Apprenticeship week started in style as a packed room full of salon owners and Furness College hairdressing and barbering apprentices and students saw MK H.S.A put on a superb demonstration of men's grooming including razor cutting techniques.

MK is one of the world's leading male educator stylists. With over 20 years' of experience, he continues to capture prestigious awards and the admiration from his Industry. His approach has a very scientific view point making his techniques very logical and easy to understand. MK's knowledge and influence of the trade has gone into national curriculums not only in the UK but Japan, Italy and Russia to name a few. He works very closely with City & Guilds and HABIA as an adviser.

During the three hour presentation, MK demonstrated a range of barbering techniques on three male models in a highly entertaining way.

Isabela Braithwaite Curriculum Manager Hair & Beauty said the event had been a great success. "As we are taking on more and more barbering apprentices we wanted to provide some professional training which would be of use to us as professionals and to those salons which provide barbering treatments. MK has a very popular reputation so this event has attracted a lot of interest in the local area. This is the third demonstration event we have provided in order to keep professionals in the community up to date with the very latest techniques. We had such positive feedback from the event we hope to repeat the experience. Thank you to all the models who took part in the presentation."
