NEW CHAIRMAN: Cllr Brian Meakin.
BEETHAM parish councillors unanimously agreed that Cllr Brian Meakin should chair the council from May 7.
The decision followed Cllr Pru Jupe's announcement that she would be standing down as chair at this year's elections.
Cllr Meakin lives in Storth and he chairs the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty's executive committee.
