A MOUNTAIN biker has been hospitalised after breaking his arm while cycling in the Lake District.
Kendal Mountain Rescue Team was called to assist the North West Ambulance Service at 1.10pm today (March 7) after the biker suffered a fracture to his lower arm while at Sadgill, Longsleddale.
He received treatment from the team and was transported to a Land Rover which took him down the valley to the A6.
The casualty was transferred to a land ambulance for his onward journey to hospital.
