FOUR men had to be guided down Helvellyn in freezing temperatures after reporting themselves missing.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) initially tried to talk the men down from the summit but Patterdale MRT eventually ascended the mountain and guided the group down.
The group were escorted to safety at around 5pm on Friday, March 20, in 'extremely cold' conditions before being taken to the train station in time to catch the last train home.
