TELEVISION historian Dr David Starkey is returning to his childhood home to give a lecture on behalf of the Kendal Historical and Archaeological Society.
Dr Starkey, who attended Kendal Grammar School, will deliver his talk 'Kendal's Real Queen' at the Town Hall on Tuesday June 9, at 7.30pm. His talk will focus on Lady Margaret Beaufort, mother of Henry VII, but will also explore the life of the Countess of Richmond and Derby ‘my lady the king’s mother’, who held the major part of the Barony of Kendal.
