A LONE walker was flown off a Lake District fell after suffering a leg fracture while walking today (Saturday).
The female fell near the summit of Loughrigg near Ambleside just past midday.
She was assisted by passers-by while waiting for the Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue team and air ambulance to arrive.
She was treated with pain relief, her injury splinted and then evacuated by helicopter.
Seven LAMRT members were involved in the two hour rescue.
