A WOMAN was flown to hospital with multiple injuries after falling around 30m while climbing in North Yorkshire today (Sunday).

Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation was called to Buck Haw Brow near Giggleswick after the 36-year-old climber fell and sustained suspected head, neck, back and pelvic injuries.

Initial treatment was given by team members and paramedics before the casualty was stretchered to an ambulance.

She was then transferred to an air ambulance and taken to hospital.

It was the team's second incident this weekend after a 42-year-old solo walker sustained a suspected broken ankle after falling near Ingleton Waterfalls.
