POLICE are appealing to walkers to keep their dogs on a lead after a sheep was mauled.
Cumbria Constabulary said a sheep had to be 'destroyed' on Monday (April 6) in Sedbergh after being mauled by a dog.
A spokesperson said: "Can we remind persons to keep all dogs on a lead during lambing season."
