WESTMORLAND and Lonsdale General Election candidates will be quizzed on a range of 'global justice' issues during a hustings event at Sandylands Methodist Church, Kendal, on Monday.
The debate will be hosted by a local group of Global Justice Now.
Chairman Andy Mason said: "Questions will be on global justice issues such as inequality, corporate power, food and trade justice, human rights. Anyone wishing to submit a question within this broad agenda can do so in writing before 7.10pm on the night or send a question in advance to andyandmaggie@talktalk.net.”
Mr Mason said he would also welcome contact from those interested in knowing more about Global Justice Now, previously the World Development Movement, which is being relaunched nationally.
