18-year-old airlifted to hospital with head and back injuries after mountain biking incident in Ullswater
An 18-year-old male was airlifted to hospital after suffering head and back injuries while mountain biking in Ullswater.
On Thursday, April 9, Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team responded to a report of a man who had gone over the handlebars of his bike near Auterstone Wood.
The casualty was treated on the fell before being stretchered to a waiting air ambulance and flown to Carlisle Infirmary for further treatment.
