Barbecue fire was out on arrival
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze which engulfed an electric barbecue on a boat moored at Windermere yesterday (Friday) lunchtime.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "At 12.13pm, firefighters were called to a report of a fire on a boat at Windermere Marina Village.
"The fire was confined to an electric barbecue on the rear of a 50-foot vessel. The fire was out on arrival. Firefighters isolated the power and removed the barbecue from its housing."
