Firefighters called to laundry room fire at Arnside care home
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a building fire at a residential care home on the promenade at Arnside yesterday (Sunday).
The fire was confined to a dryer in the laundry room and crews used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots and a large fan to clear the smoke.
A spokesperson said: “Some clothes in the dryer had caught fire and smouldered – there was a light smoke to clear but no damage.”
