A DRUNKEN man 'pushed his head' into the face of customer at a DIY store check-out during an altercation, a court heard.
Derek Flynn, 54, of Anchorite Fields, Kendal, pleaded guilty at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court to using abusive and threatening behaviour in the town's Home Bargains. He was fined £150, ordered to pay a criminal courts charge of £150, £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

The court heard that the incident happened because Flynn falsely believed the victim had called him a paedophile. Magistrates were told the altercation had to be broken up by staff who 'feared for their safety'.
In mitigation Flynn said he was so drunk at the time that he needed medical assistance afterwards.
