A VICTIM is appealing for a stolen phone containing 'irreplaceable' photos of their newborn baby handed in anonymously.
The HTC mobile was snatched along with climbing equipment, a Kindle and purse with credit cards and cash in it from a parked silver VW Polo in Little Langdale.
Cumbria Police said the owner has asked that the phone be returned anonymously to the post box of the nearest police station.
MORE TOP STORIES: The theft took place on Thursday (July 30) near to Copt Howe and involved another vehicle parked nearby.
Between 4.40pm and 6pm a green Land Rover Defender was broken into.
A Makita stone saw and a Husqvarna chain saw were stolen.
Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to contact PC 1577 Mann on 101 and quote log number 220 of July 30 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
