RADIO listeners who enjoy hearing a familiar voice on the airwaves will want to tune into Radio 4's Woman's Hour next week.

Jane Little, 35, who hails from Barrows Green, near Kendal, will be presenting four editions of the popular programme, reports Michaela Robinson-Tate.

Together with her other presenting slots on Radio 4, and her work as a news correspondent in Washington, Ms Little is becoming a well-known presence on both radio and television.

She is particularly looking forward to the Woman's Hour presenting, which is a role she has fulfilled before, as she enjoys the mix of the serious and more light-hearted items.

She also enjoys working with reporters Liz Pearson, who is from Kendal, and Caz Graham, who lives in the town, giving the show a strong connection with South Lakeland.
