A MOTORCYLIST has been airlifted to hospital following a crash in the Lake District.
The 41-year-old sustained back injuries when he fell from his motorbike into a verge at Troutbeck Bridge at around 1.25pm today (August 31).
The Great North Air Ambulance was called to assist paramedics from the North West Air Ambulance Service who treated the Barrow man at the scene.
He was flown to Furness General Hospital, Barrow, for further treatment.
