Rail company provides digital info at stations
DIGITAL information screens have been fitted on platforms at Northern Rail stations at Cark-in-Cartmel and Dalton-in-Furness.
The ground breaking signage will provide real-time train running information as well as a live link to Northern Rail’s Twitter feed, the latest BBC News headlines, digital advertisements and the local weather forecast.
Supplied in partnership with Saturn Communications, the information screens have overcome the traditional challenge of Cumbria’s rural setting by connecting to local 3G broadband.
