A BARN at Bees Nest Farm, Casterton, can be enlarged to help with managing sheep, planners decided.
JJ & M Metcalfe and Son plan to increase the agricultural building's length from 45.5m to 59.4m, and to screen it by planting saplings.
Casterton Parish Council felt that extending the barn would make it "even more dominant" and the screening would "take years to have even a limited effect".
However, South Lakeland District Council granted planning permission.
