A RUNNER sustained serious chest and hip injuries after falling while running on the lake shore around Grasmere.
The Great North’s Air Ambulance The Pride Of Cumbria was called at 11.50am today after the woman, aged in her 60s and from the Kirkby Lonsdale area, fell.
On arrival on scene the aircrew doctor and paramedic assessed and treated the woman before flying her to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
