SHOPPERS and visitors to Kendal’s town centre are being invited to take part in a new 'consumer behaviour' study using smartphone technology.
Kendal BID and Kendal Futures are working with GeoTask to conduct the study which tracks the behaviour patterns of local people as they walk around town, visiting shops, cafes, offices and attractions.

The aim is to better understand how people move around Kendal, how often they visit and how long they stay.
The app records the phone movements of the user through GPS location data and proximity beacons which have been placed at key points around the town.
Anyone can join Kendal’s panel by downloading the free GeoTask app via the Android Google Play Store or iPhone App store or by visiting www.geotask.co.uk
